There are certain things you must learn to be an effective disciple. One is to live inside the skin of others. Preoccupy your mind with how others feel and think. This does not mean that you let others take over your life, but instead you develop a mind set that serves others before yourself. Each day there are many instances where you might yield to others just simply to show Godly kindness. This is not letting others run over you; this is your choice. Respect is important and kindness generates respect.
