Notes by Charles Stanley on “Being A Servant of God:”
“We are to be used by Him to bring Him Honor and Glory. When you decide to serve God, you step out on a limb. Only then can He show you what you can do in HIS POWER. Once you give your life to Jesus, you are a servant of God. He is your Lord and Master. Satan cannot touch you outside of God’s permission, which is allowed for a greater purpose, all of which is good in your life. There is a greater good in store for you, so TRUST Him. He will never let Satan destroy you if you keep your eyes on Him in FAITH. God promises to work all things out for your good. “God equips you to serve, when you are SAVED and DESIRE to live for Him. He has given you talents, skills and abilities, and spiritual gifts that give you the POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT to carry out the Lord’s work. He assumes the responsibility for the outcome of your service. “Your heart must be clean. Sin has the same effect on you as putting sand in your gas tank. It stalls your growth in Him and stifles your ability to carry out what God has CALLED you to do. Ask in prayer to be used to the maximum of your God given ability.”
