Notes from Charles Stanley
“The ways of God include how He thinks, motive, purpose, plan. We need to know God intimately in order to know His ways so that we can walk in them. (Psalm 25:1-5, 103:7).”
Deuteronomy 10:12 states what He requires of us. The more we understand His ways, the more we desire to obey Him. He wants us to have a deep yearning in our heart to know Him intimately.
In Psalm 81:10-13, God is saying–TRUST ME–expand your FAITH. All our rebellion is a deliberate CHOICE. In Psalm 81:14-16, the Lord said,’I would have done this and that, but you CHOSE not to walk in My ways.’ “No matter what your facing, know that He has the best for you in mind. In Deuteronomy 32:3-4, His work is perfect; His ways are just; His way is the best; righteous, full of love and goodness because He is an all wise God. He will allow in our lives whatever will bring us to know Him.”
WALKING IN HIS WAYS IS THE PATHWAY TO SUCCESS! Discovering His Will for our lives brings peace, joy, contentment and security. Living in Gods Plan for our lives is not always the easiest. However, He is bringing us into an intimate relationship with Him. His ways are sometimes surprising. “CAN WE TRULY KNOW HIS WAYS? In Isaiah 55:8-9, we can’t figure them out, but the Lord will reveal His ways to us individually, intimately as we seek Him and desire to obey Him. (Psalm 139:6) (Romans 11:33-34) (Job 11:7) It’s all beyond us until He reveals it to us. The mind of God is far beyond us. (1 Corinthians 2:11-13) “WE HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT LIVING INSIDE OF US TEACHING US HIS WAY, HIS THINKING, HIS MOTIVE AND PURPOSE. THE HOLY SPIRIT IS A PERSON INSIDE OF YOU. “BENEFITS OF LIVING IN HIS WAYS: ~~~~Intimacy–we must open our heart to Him.
~~~~We begin to look at things the way He sees it.
~~~~We can wait upon Him to heal us, direct us, etc. He has us waiting for a specific reason for our best and His purpose.
~~~~We begin to live by His guiding principals. Certain things we avoid, certain things we seek! ~~~~Our lives become stable; our character becomes steadfast; we are able to stay on course.
“OBEY GOD AND LEAVE ALL THE CONSEQUENCES TO HIM!”
