(The reason for prayer daily and just thinking, praising, and calling on Jesus during the day is because our sole purpose for being on this earth is to have the opportunity to freely choose to believe o ot believe in God. The Father saw that on our own we would never make it (being good on our own) so He sacrificed His son, Jesus, to come to earth to give us the opportunity to believe in Him and thus be saved to spend Eternity in Heaven. This is the reason for daily prayer time, which consists of reading a verse, a few verses, or a chapter of the Bible daily, reflecting on it as you read, not just flying through, but allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart and mind, opening up more of the miraculous truth that lets us in closer to the Throne each and every time we seek Him.)
(We can pray for others and ou eeds and desires. All day long, the more we thank Jesus for the good things in our lives, the more we begin to realize how close to us He is. As we become more and more aware and thankful for His Blessings we will call on Him more and more during our day in times of need and uncertainty. As we see how He touches our lives personally over and over, talking to Him and praising Him intermittently during the day becomes second nature. (All of this is accomplished through the power of the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit. Once you give your life to Jesus, ask forgiveness of your sins, the Holy Spirit comes to live in your heart to teach, guide, instruct, reprimand, empower us to serve, and open our minds to see more of the miracle power of His Love for us. (If we read the Word of God slowly, asking the Holy Spirit to open our mind to see more and more clearly what He wants us to see, to experience personally, and to learn, we will realize that the Holy Spiirt is calling us closer to the Throne of God.
(GET TO KNOW JESUS TO KNOW THE FATHER. A couple of times over the years, I have just concentrated on slowly reading only Jesus’ words all through the Gospels while picturing the scene all around Him and picturing Him as a man speaking. You begin to realize what He was like deep in His heart. After a time of this type of study, I began to realize that I was more aware of the Father. I felt closer to the Father. Before, I always prayed to Jesus, but now I felt I could talk to the Father just as comfortably.)
(Of course, I pray to the Father in Jesus’ name as we are instructed in Scripture. It does say the only way to the Father is through Jesus. So I began to realize that my seeking to know Jesus more deeply drew me to know the Father more closely also. I hope this answers some of your questions. God bless you!)
Why spend time with Him?
